An amazing opportunity has arisen to ensure our ‘Award Winning’ Vantage traffic operation runs smoothly, accurately and cost effectively 24 hours, 7 days per week – Maintain and promote company policies and values and create an environment which encourages team participation and ensures quality service at all times – Ensure all legal regulations are met so that there is no effect on the company’s ability to carry out its business – Seek cost savings against budget where appropriate and manage depot activities in order to achieve the required high standards in all areas – Develop positive relationships with other members of the Management team and colleagues to promote a fun, fair and rewarding culture.
Assisting with managing a team of drivers, able to influence, motivate and engage, incorporating the allocation of duties, monitoring staff levels, to ensure efficiency is maximised across the fleet of vehicles.
To liaise with all of our customers both internal and external, to promote open communication with other departments which will assist with scheduled vehicle checks and rectify defects immediately. Providing management reports and update knowledge of all transport legislation and ensure the business stays compliant. You will have a customer service emphasis, along with being dynamic and a strategic thinker with a clear vision for networking and communication skills.
Assistance with the investigation of any accidents and to liaise with all relevant departments. Making sure drivers remain compliant, and direct reporting with the Busway Manager. You will need good analytical and numerical skills and IT skills
You will need the confidence to present and must be open to new challenges and willing to learn and maintain our existing product and services. You will require a full PCV license, full training provided, and working 38 hours per week, any 5 over 7 days.

Person Specification:
Proven People management experience
Proven experience of prioritising in a busy, operational environment
Excellent attention to detail
Good IT skills to include MS Office applications
Confident speaking to people via the phone & also face to face
Must have experience working within a busy Transport environment
Desirable – Good understanding of the WTD & drivers’ rules and regulations
